It's been a while since I've done a realistic sketch/portrait of someone, and I was in the mood for portraying some emotion. So I made this one pretty dramatic, lol. I saw a picture on google of this little boy crying, so I took the boy's face and created everything else around it, such as the hair, the clothes, the rain, and so forth. It's not perfect, since I'm out of practice, but hope that you guys like it. It took me about 5 hours to do (it's about 3:15 am now...even short hair takes a long time!), and I'm super tired, so I'd better get offline and stop rambling...yeah. Enjoy!
Despite your claim of being out of practice, I think it was a job well done. If it were not for his look of utter despair, because of the rain I wouldn't have guessed he was crying.

Perhaps through perseverance I'll become a better visual artist, however I've long accepted the fact that I'm a writer and my medium is a piece of paper and a pencil.
Lol, thanks. I guess that by out of practice I mean that I just tend to draw little doodles and cartoon-y things. Sometimes I get a little worried that I'm losing the ability to draw realism, and then I end up sitting down for hours to do something like this. Do you ever get that feeling? Anyways, glad that you like it. I wasn't too sure how to draw rain, so it just looks like a bunch of lines
